The Challenge

The refurbishment involved significant modifications, including updates to office spaces, corridors, and WC facilities. While the project was carefully planned, unexpected challenges arose during construction. The condition of the sash windows proved to be worse than initially thought, requiring additional repairs. Despite this, the team had to ensure that the work remained within the agreed budget and timeframe.

The Solution

With a budget of £200k, the project followed a design created by a third-party architect, ensuring a well-thought-out layout suited to the nursery’s needs. The refurbishment included installing energy-efficient LED lighting and compliant radiator covers to improve both safety and sustainability. Although the unexpected window repairs required extra attention, the team successfully managed the challenge, keeping the project on schedule and within budget.

The Outcome

The completed nursery now offers a high-quality, well-equipped learning space for 30 children. It meets all safety and compliance regulations and successfully passed an Ofsted inspection. The nursery expressed appreciation for the effort made to meet strict regulatory requirements and deliver a functional and welcoming space for young learners.
